They're apart of it

Pro black they pump their fists. A part of their history, they're proud of it. Million Man march they know of struggle. It's a hard knock life they know the hustle. Rebelling against the man in an unfair fight, they know how to tussle. Have had to workout so they know how to muscle. Been apart of the game since the original couple. If life deals you lemons feel liberated to make lemonade and hopefully for two; as long as it doesn't brew up any trouble. Fresh out the huddle feeling free to make good on the nights caught up in the jungle. History repeats itself when you choose not to learn it. History repeats itself if you know and choose to ignore it.

The takeover is here. Coming to the dark side has never been so near. Parents’ shield them, protecting long lies. Generations of generated stereotypes reliving at birth on all sides. The waviest are able to convolute the ideals of hate. Diluting race, ethnicity, and other things that prove face. Waves distorting the face but feeling how deep the mind and body go. Embracing slow motion in the ocean. Discovering patterns and different platforms riding the flow. My whole body knows, part of the reason because I told them so. Partly because this thumping in my chest was something I thought I had lost a long time ago. Thumping on my chest because the other half has her left fist up shouting "ALL BLACK EVERYTHING!!!" She has her pro black mister loving it like second dibs I could tell from her belly laugh she was feeling the wine. One of my hands on her hiccups, the other one feeling on her spine.

Her mind doesn't know about my struggle. Not Annie but life still knocks hard, she still had to hustle and after doing some rounds with "Fuego" she knows fire won't judge her. Respects, representing the respected. She may not be a brotha but she is down to rep him. No worries in the air neither side being feared. Water and Fire don't mix but it's the one thing that the other wants to need to fix. Take an outstanding flame apply it to something paper thin, combusting, blowing it up. Waters the only element able to settle in.

The other wants to need cleanse. Water all around her body, cold she's near the deep end. Add some fire and heat things up. Now we're out standing warm waist deep on the same scale balance beams. My heart jumping beans, our body Jacuzzi springs.
